The Rockwell AIM-65 computer was a training and a development system on the basis of a 6502-Mikroprozessors of MOS Technology Inc. and 1976 were introduced. The AIM-65 was the extension of the KIM-1 of computer. As additional hardware existed floppy disk a CONTROLLER and a back extension plug. 1981 presented an improved model, to Rockwell the AIM-65/40, with 40-Zeichen announcement.
The available software for the AIM-65 contained a monitor program with assembler/Disassembler, a BASIC interpreter, assembler, Pascal, PL/65, and a FORTH development system. The standard software gave its name to the system and contained the monitor program in the ROM, the so-called Advanced Interactive monitor (AIM).
