The PowerBook G3 (FireWire) of Apple has the code name Pismo and is a mobile Macintosh computer. The appropriate IBM computers are called Notebooks.
The designation "Pismo" means in Polish "writing". Although one is the joint founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak, poles, the type designation has probably rather its origin in the California city Pismo Beach, which is convenient between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The PowerBook G3 (FireWire) has a G3-PPC-750-Prozessor with 400 or 500 MHz, maximally 1024 MByte RAM and a replaceable DVD drive assembly. The 14 " TFT screen has a dissolution of 1024x768 pixels. A Pismo has a lithium ion Akku, which guarantees a running time from 4 to 5 hours.
