Bridgeheadserver one calls servers, which are responsible for the location to location Replikation. It can concern for example E-Mail or Active directory server.

Procedure

Replikationsdaten, which are sent by a distant network into a local network, are sent first to the local Bridgeheadserver, which is responsible to the local servers then again for the further distribution. Thus unnecessary data traffic between the locations is avoided.
