Canon Cat is one 1987, electronic write system developed by Jef Raskin.

Its new user interface differs from other computers of the 1980er particularly by. Instead of on a control concept on basis of mouse, Icons and command line Canon Cat support itself by their around special keys extended keyboard.

After six months and 20,000 sold units Canon stopped the selling. Despite its innovative concept Canon Cat could not become generally accepted against the arising text processing programs for the PC.
