Casio Cassiopeia is a product series of Handheld PC of the company Casio.
The company Casio began quite early to enter into the slowly growing market of the PDAs and developed at the beginning of small pocket computers with keyboard and gray tone display.

Rather fast it was to be recognized that the devices should become smaller. Thus the PDAs of this series developed. (To notice it is that the Japanese models differ in type designation and appearance! E-5x and/or E-5xx are the Japanese versions, in addition these are blue instead of silver).

Cassiopeia E-15

Since Casio made always with the fact advertisement that one could update the devices, did not give it an enormous protest wave, when Casio meant, it an update for the E-105 of devices would give. Due to these protests Casio placed one period, in which each E-105 user could send its equipment to Casio and let against a certain fee its coming on PocketPC update. Contrary to other manufacturers Casio stored the operating system not in a Flash memory, but in ROM. Therefore the update had to take place via an exchange of the appropriate plate. The E-115 was no planned equipment, but on urge of customers and some residues in the life was thus called.

Successors of the Cassiopeia E-200
Casio decided due to the presently difficult PDA market situation to bring first no Cassiopeia E-200 successor on the European final customer market but only for Japanese Markt.Ein current example of it is the Cassiopeia E-3000 pocket PC at present 2002 or the DT-10 with WindowsMobile 2003, which were conceived however exclusively for the Japanese market.
