The Commodore PC-1 was meant a favorable PC for the Heimgebrauch, in addition, as terminals for larger computers. In this ultrakompakten form it was the answer of Commodore to the PC-I von Atari. He could be equipped alternatively with 3.5 " - or 5-1/4 " - a drive assembly. It controlled only the CGA and Hercules Grafikmodus (AGA diagram, Advanced Graphics Architecture, not to confound with the Amiga Custom chips of the same name!). Two ISA card locations were available over a Riser map.

The system was equipped with Intel 8088 with 4.77 MHz with 512 KB RAM and a durable keyboard and mouse.

A non removable disk did not have a place in this housing. For it there was a equivalent large, stackable, external housing with an interwiring.

The computer was not very successful and was soon again adjusted.
