The CPC 6128 was the successor of the CPC664 and had a storage capacity of 128 Kilobinarybyte (KiB). He could load the operating system CP/M.
Since the Z80 processor of the CPC could head for only 64KiB RAM, an access to the remaining memory was possible only over fading in of the upper storage area into the lower one, a technology named bank Switching.
Interesting is that the models of cutter exhibited in principle interfaces with Centronics plugs, the Amstrad models however plate plug. Thus accessories from England for German users were usable only over appropriate adapters.
Reason for the center NIC CS plug-in connectors with the cutter models were probably regulations concerning screen, as also the additionally used screening plate over the motherboard lets assume with German models.
