Creative Computing was one of the first US-American computer magazines, which itself with that straight developing home computer market busy. The magazine was published between 1974 and 1985. The magazine busy itself with the topic spectrum between home computers and personal computers. It used a simpler form and language than the competition product BYTE, which was substantially more technically aligned.

The magazine based of David H. Ahl, which sold it in the 80's to of Ziff-Davis the publishing house. In the last years of the publication the magazine focused itself on the professional computer market, was not not successful however thereby and stopped then the publication.

Ted Nelson, admits as an inventor the hypertext, was briefly editor-in-chief of the magazine.
