DuD data security and data security is a German-language technical periodical, which argues with topics of the data security and data security. It appears since 1977 in the Vieweg publishing house (until 1983 under the name data security and data protection). The current sub-title is right and security in the data processing and communication. The feature way is monthly with topic tables an emphasis for each booklet.

The adjustment of the magazine is interdisciplinary, whereby however legal aspects form an emphasis. Topics of the usually textlastigen contributions are among other things the protection of personal data, safety engineering, the telecommunications right, national and international adjustments and general evaluations of areas of application and conflict fields of the information and communicationses.

Publishers are Dr. Johann Bizer, the deputy national commisioner for data protection of Schleswig-Holstein, Dirk Fox, managing director of the consulting firm Secorvo Security Consulting GmbH, and professor Dr. Helmut Reimer, von TeleTrusT Germany registered association.
