The Game Boy Advance (GBA) was the first model of the Game Boy line, which was not based on the technology of the original Game Boy. The Game Boy Advance experienced a revision with the Game Boy Advance FR. Despite the fundamental change of the hardware the two representatives of the newest Game Boy generation can process all Game Boy plays. There are all Game Boy Advance models also in many different colors.

Game Boy Advance

The Game Boy Advance (GBA) was brought of Nintendo 2001 as a successor of the very successful Game Boy Color on the European market.

Opposite the classical Game Boy offers the Handheld console technology on the conditions of an improved super of Nintendo, a larger picture, a changed form (crosswise instead of portrait format) and almost full downward compatibility to Game Boy and Game Boy Color plays.

Game Boy Advance FR

The Game Boy Advance FR (GBA FR; FR stands for "“Special Project"”) is a Handheld console of Nintendo in the Notebook Design and successor of the Game Boy Advance.Seine technology to the rendition of plays corresponds to that of its predecessor, only the Design, who became screen and the current supply changed. Game Boy Micro

The Game Boy Micro (GBM) is a very small Game Boy Advance of Nintendo. He was presented for the first time on of Nintendo press conference to the E 2005 of the public. It is to address the "“image-conscious buyer"” according to of Nintendo marketing speaker Reginald Fils Aime.

The Game Boy Micro is to offer all functions of the Game Boy Advance FR. However it is substantially smaller than past Game Boys, and only little larger and around a third easier than iPod the mini. Additionally it offers a more colorfast background lighting, whose brightness can be stopped contrary to the first generation of the GBA of FR models, and an antireflection coated LCD differently as on to including Game Boy Advance FR plays for the older models Game Boy and Game Boy Color are not playable.

In Japan the Game Boy Micro appeared on 13 September, one week later also in the USA. In Europe the Handheld appeared on 4 November 2005 for a price of 99 "€.
