GameOn the C64 Spielemagazin on disk was published by the CP computer Publications GmbH in Nuremberg.
The Game on was beside the Magic disk 64 the most well-known monthly German-language C64 diskette magazine. The 5 1/4 tariff large disk was as nowadays also equipped with a beautiful menu (music-under-painted), in which one could start oneself the individual programs and. The actual magazine was on the disk and had to be started on a C64, in order to be able to read contents. There were then usually play tests and reader letters. On the second diskette side different plays became and sometimes also scene demos. The Game on was available with news agents, kiosks and in the subscription at a price of 7,90 DM.
The Game on developed directly from the Magic disk 64 and divided with this also over long time the menu system. The first Game on expenditure was to be found to in the middle of October 1988 in the shelves of the dealers and was from then on monthly published. Starting from edition 1/94 the Game on lost its self-sufficiency and together with the Magic disk 64 as diskette supplement to Amiga and PC play magazine "Play Time" was sold. The Game on as well as the Magic disk 64 with the expenditure 7/95 was adjusted. This happened without preliminary warning, the last expenditure 7/95 contained still the preview on a further expenditure, which however never appeared. After it still another magazine directly saw the light of the world, which contrary to the Game On/Magic disk 64 however a printed magazine with diskette supplement was named "Magic disk Classic". From the Magic disk Classic gave it only quite to few expenditures (8/95 to 1/96), it disappeared thereafter without preliminary warning.
