GameStar ("„gs "“) is published an appearing monthly PC computer game magazine, from the IDG Entertainment publishing house in Munich. In the fourth quarter 2004 the average monthly sold edition lay after IVW with approximately 300,000 copies; thus the GameStar is one of the present-strongest PC play time writings of Europe.

GameStar appears monthly, normally on the last Wednesday of the Vorvormonats and has per expenditure about 200 sides, dependent particularly on the number of up-to-date published plays. A sister magazine of the GameStar within the range of the console plays is GamePro.Im August 2005 appeared the first expenditure of the new, every three months published magazine /GameStar/dev. History

The first regular expenditure 10/97 appeared at the end of of 1997 with a CD-ROM including full version at the price of 6,90 DM and met many well-known and experienced editors, who were active to a large extent already before with the PC Player.
