INPUT 64 was a computer magazine of the Heise of publishing house for the Commodore 64. It appeared for the first time in January 1985.
The INPUTS appeared to 64 completely - apart from a small handbook - on digital data media: first on musiccassette for the Datasette of the C64, later on disk for the floppy disk drive VC1541 of the home computer.
Main advantage of the concept was it to be able to load programs for the computer directly digitally. Since programs were usually spread at that time as sign program code on paper, the INPUTS 64 represented an innovative beginning.
The electronic magazine was loaded as program from the data medium into the computer and appeared then in text form on the screen. Over a selection menu one could select then the different contained articles, programs and plays.
In December 1988 the magazine was adjusted. The old editorship created then the magazine ix in the same publishing house.
