The Interactive Connectivity establishment (ICE) draft describes a method for the overcoming of network ADDRESS translators (NAT) for session the Initiation Protocol (SIP). ICE is not new Protocol separates used minutes, like e.g. simple Traversal OF UDP Through NAT (STUN, already existing, RFC 3489), Traversal Using Relay NAT (TURN) and material Specific IP (RSIP).

ICE functions independently of the number and the kind of the assigned NATs.
