The Jana server is a comprehensive server software, which runs under all Windows operating systems starting from Windows 95. The program is complete in German. English and further language versions are available likewise. Was developed Jana of Thomas Hauck.

For private users and schools Jana is completely free (Freeware). (further see Lizenzierung)

This software is licensed, either when Freeware or as Shareware, dependent on the surrounding field, in which it is used.

The software is Freeware:

For private users (the computer exclusively used for private purposes at home), nationally controlled institutes (schools), nonprofit organizations, relief organizations or libraries.

The software is Shareware:

If your user surrounding field is not mentioned in the upper section, from a commercial surrounding field one proceeds and the software is treated as Shareware. The meaning of Shareware in this case: They can test the software up to 30 days long and afterwards must a license be acquired.
