Magic disk 64 the C64 magazine on disk was published by the CP computer Publications GmbH in Nuremberg.
The Magic disk 64 was beside the Game on the most well-known monthly German-language C64 diskette magazine. The 5 1/4 tariff large disk was as nowadays also equipped with a beautiful menu (music-under-painted), in which one could start oneself the individual programs and. The actual magazine was on the disk and had to be started on a C64, in order to be able to read contents. There then usually programming courses were to find reader letters and beginning also play tests. On the second diskette side programs, programming tools and plays were published. The Magic disk 64 was available with news agents, kiosks and in the subscription at a price of 9,80 DM.
The first expenditure of the Magic disk 64 appeared at the beginning of November 1987 and it appeared from then on monthly. It however only 1989 with the introduction of a new menu system, which was underlaid with good music graphically much responding and, became really good. Starting from expenditure 12/93 the Magic disk 64 lost its self-sufficiency and together with the Game on as diskette supplement to Amiga and PC play magazine "Play Time" was sold. The Magic disk 64 was adjusted together with the Game on with the expenditure 6/95. After it still another magazine directly saw the light of the world, which contrary to the Magic disk 64 was however a printed magazine with diskette supplement named "Magic disk Classic". From the Magic disk Classic gave it only quite to few expenditures (8/95 to 1/96), it disappeared thereafter without preliminary warning.
