The MK 14 is a home computer kit, which was brought to OF Cambridge by the English company Science starting from the year 1978 on the market. The equipment was manufactured until 1980 and sold at a price by Behind the company Science OF Cambridge put the developer of the MK 14 Ian Williamson and the firm owners Clive Sinclair and Chris Curry, which created also the companies Sinclair and Acorn later. By the MK 14 between 15.000 and 50.000 pieces were sold.
Central construction unit of the MK 14 is that national Semiconductor Microprocessor ISP-8A/600; he is not efficient particularly to program for it however simply. Programming is made by a hexadecimal keyboard, for which expenditure became a 7-Segment-Anzeige used. The memory was limited on 256 bytes, could be extended however on 640 bytes.
