A Nascom is on the processor Zilog Z80 of based home computers, at the beginning of the 1980er years was common and as kit was driven out.

The company Nascom Microcomputers was sold after financial difficulties 1981 at Lucas Logic. Parallel to their work of a group around the Nascom founder John Mars-resound the company Gemini Microcomputers (also Gemini company/Microvalue) based.

The kit variants 1 (since 1977) and 2 (since 1979) are a plate computers. The Nascom had a keyboard and an indicator interface. With the help of the serial interface data could be stored after the Kansas town center standard (KCS) on volume.

Programming: Z80 machine code or Microsoft BASIC.

CCU: Zilog Z80 A with 2 or 4 MHz clock frequency. (8-bit processor).

RAM: 10 KB, expandable on 32 KB.

ROM: 10 KB including 8 KB Microsoft BASIC.

Permanent memory: Cartridge interface with 300/1200 Baud after Kansas town center standard.

I/O: RS_232, RF-out, video out with TTY and PIO connection. Expandable with an additional I/O board.

Programming: Z80 machine code or Microsoft BASIC.
