PC Games hardware (PCGH or PCG hardware) is an appearing monthly, German-language, computer journal. It is published by in the resident publishing house Computec Media AG and is occupied mainly with hardware for the PC player.
The PCGH is the sister magazine the PC Games. Between both magazines there are synergies, i.e. that editors of the PCGH write also articles, which appear to Games in the hardware part the PC. Play tests the PC Games are supplemented frequently by tests in more detail to the hardware requirements in the PCGH. In addition one co-operates also with on-line appearance.
The PC Games hardware addresses itself mainly to PC players. These readers possess generally a certain basic knowledge over handling the computer. Therefore in the articles, banal proceedings are not treated. That differentiates the PCGH for example clearly from that computer picture. Therefore also more complex topics are treated approximately around the PC.

The first expenditure the PC Games hardware, 11/2000, appeared to 06.10.2000 and cost 5, - DM. Thus the PCGH, according to own indication, was of Germany first hardware magazine for PC players.
The topics of the PCGH are treated in the following columns: Up-to-date, test, plays, practice, Overclocking, Inter.Net, knowledge and service.
The first PCGH was attached a CD-ROM. One settled for the first time two CDs already little later. This CD version of the PCGH gives it until today (conditions expenditure 06/2006).
Since the summer 2004 there is the PCGH to buy additionally also with a DVD-ROM. First the DVD was one-sided (DVD-5). With the expenditure 01/2005 for the first time, as usual with the PC was provided Games already longer, a double-sided DVD (DVD-10) with a capacity by approx. 8.5 GByte. After one settled in the following, two months long, again a one-sided DVD, the booklet DVD is continuous bilateral since 04/2005 (conditions expenditure 04/2006).
The data media of the PCGH contain the among other things following software.
On multiples reader desire there is a more favorable magazine version without data media with the expenditure 01/2006 for the first time also.
According to IVW the PCGH has a sold monthly edition of on the average approx. 100,000 copies per quarter.

Of the PCGH regularly special editions are produced. These are occupied for example particularly with diagram maps, infrastructure or Windows Tuning. Also these booklets are supplied with data media, which usually contain a large quantity of Tools, drivers and Begleitmaterial.
On the Internet side of the PCGH one finds always current news approximately around the topics, which are treated also in the booklet. In archives on the Website can one special editions or individual articles in the pdf format buy and then down-load. In the expenditure 05/2006 it was announced that the PCGH will extend its on-line offer. Now it gives on the Website among other things Blogs of the editors. In addition a completely again revised version of the PCGH is to be placed in the net in the summer 2006.
Both in the PCGH and in the PC Games computer games and PC hardware are treated. The emphasis setting is however different. Therefore both magazines operate their forum together, so that the Community for both topics is larger.
In addition the PCGH uses a Web code system. Instead of for a long time left Web codes so mentioned (combinations four digit of letters and numbers) will write out indicated. These must be only entered then into a small field in the top of the PCGH side and one to the goal are passed on.
In order to be able to co-ordinate the reports and tests with the interests of the readers, become on the Website many inquiries started, for example the blocked hardware or the purchase intentions of the readers.
