Shredder is one of the strongest and most successful chess programs of the world. Programmer is Stefan Meyer bald one from Duesseldorf, who works since 1992 on Shredder. Since 1996 the program could already achieve ten times the title of a computer chess world champion:

The program (at present in version 10 for Windows and version 9 for Linux and Mac) is driven out by the company ChessBase as well as with own GUI under the name Shredder Classic by the author.
