The Victor 9000/Sirius S1 was a personal computer, which was developed by Chuck Peddle, which had already developed the Commodore PET 2001 before. This computer appeared in the same period, and first IBM PC on the market came. The Sirius I was however in some points by far innovative and better than IBM counterparts.
In Europe the Sirius I was even relatively successful, since this computer before IBM there the PC appeared.
The computer had 12 tariff a monochromen monitor, which possessed an anti-reflection layer. Contrast and brightness of the monitor could be steered directly by the keyboard. The computer could already at that time represent the very progressive resolution of 800 400 pixels.
The Sirius was supplied with an internal Sampler, with which one could take up and then again play short clay/tone sequences. To the Sirius I additionally a light pen could be attached.
The two 5 " - floppy disk drives had in each case a storage location of 600 KB. Additionally one could receive the equipment however with floppy disk drives, which could store 1.2 MT.
