The Tatung Einstein was an 8-bit Home and personnel computer, which develops Tatung from the taiwanesichen company, however in Teltford, England was produced. The computer was essentially appropriate for the enterprise in small enterprises.
Einstein was brought in England in the summer 1984 on the market, 5,000 copies were back exported later in the year to Taipei. As accessories a Tatung monitor (mono chrome or Color) and a printer were offered. It was comparatively large and the housing offered the possibility of building into the equipment in or two floppy disk drive assemblies which were manufactured by the company Hitachi. At the time at that time a floppy drive assembly was uncommon, since the data of a home computer were stored mostly on a cartridge drive assembly. The computer possessed a CP/M compatible operating system (Xtal) and with a BASIC interpreter was delivered.
Because it was more expensive than the competition products and because it did not serve an application niche, the Tatung Einstein became economical no success.
